The Noah's Tarp 16 is the size to investigate when a group wants a broad communal area and has a campsite that can genuinely accommodate it. The benefit is planning flexibility around seated people and stored gear, rather than permission to place everyone against the roof's edges. A large tarp needs more room for anchor positions and can be more demanding to handle while spreading or lowering it.
