Your planner inputs
The campsite, tent-fit, weight, kitchen, and power tools calculate in your browser. This version does not send those input values to a Camp Gear Atlas database. Inputs are held in the current page session and can be lost when you refresh or leave. Download and print controls let you keep a copy yourself.
Search and comparisons
On-page directory searches filter the information already supplied to your browser. A comparison link can include product identifiers in its URL. Anyone with that link can see those identifiers; do not put personal information in a URL.
Requests to other services
Our hosting provider processes requests needed to deliver and protect the site, which can include technical information such as IP addresses and browser details. Some photographs and product images load from external image hosts, including Wikimedia and Amazon. Those services receive the requests needed to deliver their images.
Following an affiliate link takes you to Amazon, where its privacy policy, cookies, and purchase process apply. Manufacturer and source links similarly take you to independently operated websites.
No account or mailing list in this version
This version does not provide Camp Gear Atlas member accounts, a newsletter signup, or a form for collecting your contact details. If those features are added, this notice will be updated to explain their operation.
