Where it makes sense
The PocketRocket 2 is a small standalone canister burner for hikers who want to choose their own suitable pot. That separates the stove purchase from cookware selection and can be useful when a compatible pot is already in the kit. MSR lists a 73-gram minimum stove weight; fuel, cookware, and ignition still belong in the complete packing calculation. Its compact arrangement asks for careful surface selection and pot sizing.
