Where it makes sense
The PocketRocket Deluxe is the canister-burner option for a buyer who values integrated ignition and a regulated design while keeping cookware separate. MSR's published description also identifies a broader burner head than the simpler PocketRocket 2. Those features make it a sensible candidate for a compact kitchen that includes actual pot cooking, provided the vessel meets its own manual's limits. The minimum stove weight excludes the rest of the cooking load. A regulator does not remove weather limits or the need to learn operation before a trip, and a backup ignition method remains a worthwhile part of the packing decision.
