Where it makes sense
This RTIC model is the rolling option for a campsite reached over a route where wheels are actually helpful. The tow handle reduces the amount of continuous carrying, but it does not eliminate lifting the packed cooler into a vehicle or over obstacles. RTIC lists a 30-pound empty weight and external dimensions that deserve a cargo-space check. The wheels, handle, and body create a larger overall package than the food cavity alone suggests. Choose it around the walk from parking to storage, and verify the required locker opening as well as the car. Its marketing retention period is not a food-safety timer.
The tradeoff
A 30-pound empty cooler still must be lifted into the vehicle
