Where it makes sense
Flex Patches are a different repair choice from nylon fabric tape: the clear TPU material is intended for flexible repairs, including compatible inflatables. They are worth considering when a sleeping-pad manufacturer allows this style of patch and the damage is an accessible puncture in the body. Keep the pad’s own repair instructions with the kit, because a valve leak, seam failure, or internal separation is a different problem. The relatively large patches can be trimmed when the repair directions allow, but the required overlap must remain. This is a research-based compatibility pick rather than a promise that every camping air mattress can be restored by a patch.
