Where it makes sense
The current Elixir 3 is a space-first choice for a pair, especially when a dog or a little extra indoor organization is part of the trip. Its rectangular floor avoids the narrowing foot end found in some backpacking tents. For three occupants, pad widths still decide the fit; the capacity label is not a promise of space for three wide rectangles. Two doors reduce the need to climb across a partner. The larger package can be divided between capable adults, but its full weight remains in the group's load. It is a practical short-trip shelter when interior flexibility matters more than minimizing carried ounces.
