MSR documents a freestanding design, two doors, extensive mesh, and a much lower packaged weight than the current Elixir 2. Those features make it an alternative for pairs who prioritize carrying comfort and ventilation. The tradeoff is a lighter fabric package that rewards careful handling, and the separate footprint must be considered in the complete kit. Its mesh-focused inner also offers a different sense of privacy from a tent with more solid panels. Select the LT model specifically; earlier Hubba Hubba and newer HD listings are different tents.
