Hold fit and temperature guidance steady
A roomy synthetic rectangle and a close-fitting down bag differ in much more than fill. Their dimensions, shell, closures, and intended use affect the result. First choose a suitable shape and comparable temperature guidance; then examine how insulation changes the weight, packed space, moisture tolerance, and care of candidates that could actually work.
For a carried kit, down’s lower weight and packed bulk can be valuable. Fill power describes the loft of the down, however, rather than the warmth of the finished bag by itself. Separate a damp campsite from a wet sleeping bag
A place can be humid or rainy while your sleeping insulation remains protected.
